World Cancer Day | 2024

4 February, marked as World Cancer Day, is dedicated to raising awareness and sharing information about prevention, detection and treatment of cancer. About 10 million people die from cancer every year all over the world.

Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) can lead to liver cancer, which is the most common type of cancer in many parts of the world.

About one third of all deaths related to cancer could be prevented through routine screening, early detection and treatment.

PEACE Multicultural Services at Relationships Australia SA supports multicultural individuals, families and communities of South Australia affected or impacted by viral hepatitis through awareness activities, education sessions, case management and counselling services.
